Sabine Energy is an independent exploration and production company with a long-term strategy focused on acquiring and developing natural gas reserves in East Texas and North Louisiana.
Sabine’s legacy traces back over 100 years, but our current chapter began in 2018 when Sabine partnered with Osaka Gas USA Corporation to jointly develop Sabine’s East Texas assets. The development was successful and OGUSA acquired the entire company the following year with a long-term vision to continue growing and developing Sabine’s asset base. Since then, Sabine has grown its acreage position through grass roots leasing, bolt-on acquisitions, farm-ins and strategic acquisitions, and increased production through a consistent multi-rig drilling program. As of 2025, Sabine operates over 700,000 acres throughout East Texas and North Louisiana with proved reserves of over 2,700 Bcfe, and produces over 680,000 Mcfe/d (98.5% gas).
Sabine Energy has a long-term strategy to continue developing the prolific natural gas reserves of East Texas and North Louisiana for decades to come, and the financial and operational stability to do so throughout the economic cycles of the oil and gas industry.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas USA Corporation and member of the Daigas Group, Sabine Energy is a key contributor to the Daigas Group’s long-term strategy to provide a stable and sustainable energy supply in the United States and internationally.
Osaka Gas USA Corporation (“OGUSA”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. formed in 2004 to develop, construct, acquire, and manage the company’s North American energy sector business. OGUSA’s business includes upstream, LNG, gas fired power, renewables, and future energy development.
